D.C. Pictures!

This is Caleb with "Chop Chop". He is the oldest of the McLamb Boys :)

After sharing, Kimber and I did some exploring of the city....We did not have enough time to visit the White House - but we able to squeeze in time for the capitol building, justice building and the washington monument. (from a distance)

Washington D.C.

"Hey Friends!" And yeah - this is not a typical Jena saying - but its one I've picked up from Anna and I kind of like it! Anyway - D.C. went very well! I went with a team of 6. (Me,The Berry Family & Kimber) When we first got off the bus in Washington - a lady approached us and asked if we would pray for her. Did we turn her away? "Ne-ga-tory Ghost-Rider!"The lady introduced herself as Sandra and she explained to us that she was 3 months pregnant. She also wondered if we would buy her some chicken - she had been craving some all day. We agreed to do both. We gathered to pray for her and when we were done, Walker reached in his pocket and handed Sandra a copy of the 4 spiritual laws. Kids can be sooo right on track - though we were concerned about Sandra's physical well-being Walker realized her spiritual health was most important.

Other Highlights: We walked approx. 2 + hrs to find the Ugandan Embassy, Rode the Metro(which was a laugh for this country girl), saw the Capitol Building (kimber, you rock!), and we also challenged a homeless man to share the word with others!

"WHAT-EVER!" Factor: I sweet talked a man into giving me a free refill in the Union Station! I guess it pays to have good manners - and look well - I guess some-what decent ;)

On a more serious note : I learned that the faith of a child is something to be valued...I was very impressed with Walker and his willingness to share so boldly. Sometimes we get so
caught up in "checklists" in life or the "have tos of sharing" that we miss out on the simplicity of the gospel message.

These quotes are what I call anna -isms ...they are words frequently said by my room-mate..depending on my mood they can either be funny or sometimes not so much! But I find it pretty amusing that I have caught myself saying some of these... Watch out Youngsville - I may come back talking like a Missouri Farm Girl! (love ya anna!)
